JP MODERN HEIRLOOM - NEW JP FOLDED DISC STUD

Celebrating 15 years in business has made me nostalgic about the evolution of JP and the inspirations along the way. My grandmother (my dad's mom) was an absolute beauty and the most perfectly styled woman I have ever known. She was also the kindest and never said an ugly word about anyone, which is the most beautiful quality. My mom is equally stylish, while not even meaning to be.  Having these cool women in my life has shaped my love for personal style. Not only with my own, but in helping clients cultivate their own style to create a collection of JP modern heirloom pieces.

My mom and grandmother often wore gold disc style earrings. My mom had a pair of circle discs with a fold that she wore all of the time. I loved the earrings and looked forward to getting my ears pierced so I could borrow them from her. She purchased them in Buenos Aires which I thought was so cool. She ended up losing the earrings, and I was sad for her... and, selfishly for me. 

So this year I thought I would try to recreate a new disc earring for her inspired by these lost ones. These earrings are not only inspired by a cool, funky design my mom bought in her travels, but they also make me so happy. They remind me of mom's cool style, of my time in Buenos Aires, as a student and nanny, and of my connection with my mom.
