Care + Repairs

JEWELRY CARE

Fine jewelry is delicate and should be cared for accordingly. To extend the life of your JP Jewelry and keep it in optimal condition, please follow the following care instructions:

Please use caution when using chemicals such as perfume, hairspray, cosmetics, and cleaning substances.

When cleaning fine jewelry it is always best to leave the job to a professional, as many home cleaning methods may cause damage. We recommend using the JP Foam Cleaner and brush to gently remove the oil, dirt, and product buildup that our everyday pieces encounter.

For additional maintenance, we recommend having the tightness of the stones checked regularly by a professional to check for loose gemstones, especially rings. Depending on the amount of wear the piece receives, stones should be checked every 4 to 6 months. Stones should also be checked more frequently at home. You can use a simple pinhead to gently tap the surface and sides of the stone and see if they move. We also recommend listening for loose stones by holding your piece between your thumb and middle finger next to your ear while gently striking it with your index finger. If even one stone is moving, refrain from wearing the piece until it can be tightened. We are more than happy to perform these checks for you, or you can take them to a local and trusted jeweler of your choice.

MATERIALS USED

All pieces from the JP collection are made of recycled 14kt yellow gold. We consider using other metals as a custom project. Read more about our materials and stone selection here.

REPAIRS

At JP, quality and craftsmanship are top priority. However, jewelry by its very nature can be delicate. If you should experience the need for repair on any JP item, email info@janepopejewelry.com. Please include your Name, Address, Order Number and Repair Issue.

Repairs will be assessed on an individual basis. If it is something we can help with, JP will email a Repair Authorization Number, which must be clearly labeled on the return package.

JP will repair at no charge any breakage caused by defect within 120 days of purchase. Repairs needed after 120 days or deemed to be caused by misuse will incur a repair charge at the customer’s expense. Customer is responsible for UPS shipping charges both ways for all repairs.

When your repair is ready, JP will send you a link to pay the balance and shipping to return your item to you.

JP only accepts repairs for items purchased on janepopejewelry.com. Repairs for items purchased at one of our retailers must be returned through the original point of purchase and cannot be accepted through janepopejewelry.com.

Please refer to our Jewelry Care Instructions above for tips on how to keep your Jane Pope jewels in tip-top condition.
