International Women's Day Every Day

I have been thinking of celebrating women in my life who inspire me for the past 3 years. It has been on my todo list, and I have let is pass me by. But this year, I finally made it happen! I called in some of the women who I adore and have done work with and value their friendship and their experience. Each is an incredibly inspiring boss women who I admire and value and wanted to celebrate!
Lauren Herterich is the Executive Director at Kids On Point here in Charleston. KOP is an incredible organization offering year round after school and summer programs for kids to help them succeed in academics and beyond. Lauren is such a generous and kind human and I am so thankful to know her.
Carter Foxworth is the marketing genius behind The Works and The Works Cycle. She is also the owner of The Works cycle, an incredible teacher there, a mom, a wife, and a dear friend. Carter is one of the busiest women I know, supporting local and women owned businesses always.
Meg Workman McMillion is a local stylist and magic maker. Meg does all hair and make up for JP shoots and helps bring my vision to life. Meg's confidence in her work and business sense are admirable. Meg has an awesome team at her new salon Monrowe, which is celebrating 2 years open in the near future. Congrats, Meg!
Heather Sullivan is the designer of Vincent James, a sustainable and regenerative brand of capsule pieces that I live in. Heather has 4 beautiful children and lives an intentional and deliberate way that I strive to emulate. Heather creates wearable art that I feel good about wearing.
Ebeny Bland-Burkett and I have been working together for the past year on the custom JP candles. She is a fragrance genius, and an incredibly organized and professional creative, which I always appreciate. She is mom to a precious little Ezra, and wife to a talented videographer who has done some work for JP. I have loved working with Ebeny and watching her bring my scent vision to life (which if you know me you know I have a very sensitive nose and am particular about what scents I like).
Amber Scott is the founder of 80 MUZE, which we proudly carry on the JP website. She is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside (and she's a knockout). Recently, I ran out of gas on my way home with 7 kiddos in carpool, and who came to my rescue, but Amber! I was never so thankful to have this beauty there to stay with the kiddos while I ran to get a tank of gas. Not one of my proudest moments, but a real one and worth sharing that her kindness abounds.
Alice Keeney is the photographer extraordinaire that I have been wanting to work with for many years. I am so thankful that she jumped at the opportunity to capture these dear friends and inspiring business women. I love the photos of Alice that I snapped at the shoot's end. I smile every time I see Alice, always wearing her JP FINGERPRINT Necklace with her two babies' prints.
My outfit is from my favorite local woman-owned shop, Nette. Liz the owner, is so helpful and kind and has a great selection of brands that I love. It is the perfect neighborhood stop in to find the perfect piece.
These ladies are just some of my ride or dies in business and life. I would not be where I am without the support of these women and so many more. Whether it be in creating beautiful JP moments, talking through tough work scenarios, or getting feedback on a recent project, I value connection and support from each of these ladies and so many more.

Every day is International Women's Day in my world!
