HOLIDAY PREP my way

I am so excited about the holidays with my family this year.  About 7 years ago we traveled to Spain for the holidays and we are doing that again this year.  I could not be more excited to go back this year. We are headed to a beautiful house on a hill in Casabermeja, near Malaga. It has goats roaming all around the property and the most gorgeous hilly views of neighboring properties.

Our kiddos are at an age that little gifts matter less (my son is saving for his car!?! how is that possible??) and the experience of traveling to another country with their cousins and grandparents is so special. Last time we went, I had to hire our amazing sitter to be Santa Claus while we were away, but this time, I am hoping the experience (and a little cash) will be the celebration.

It doesn't mean that I won't be the first person at the tree lot on the day after Thanksgiving, as I do love a real tree and merriment, but in true Pope family fashion the tree will be on the street before we leave for our trip if I have anything to say about it.

I am so excited for a relaxing and fun time with my family in Spain this holiday season.  What are your plans?
