Local Faves - Jane
It has been a while since I shared my Charleston favorites. Coming out of the pandemic has shaped my faves in some way. Being close to home has become more important than ever and with more visitors coming to our awesome city to explore. I have also grown into a more of a homebody, so being able to ride my bike to meet dear friends at a spot in close proximity to my home is my absolute fave.
EAT
FIG is still my numero uno, but since it is downtown, it is rare that I go there.
On Sullivans, FISH CAMP is my fave for a cocktail and some lite bites. The Sully's G&T is perfection as are the Dayboat Crudo and the Tarvin Peel and Eat Shrimp are perfect for sharing. If you are looking for more decadence, the Parmesan Truffle Shrimp are to die for.
The LONGBOARD is another new spot on Sullivans with delicious cocktails and yummy bites. I love their brunch.
BEACH
It's too easy to have a favorite beach, living so close to one, but I am partial to Sullivans.
STAY
The POST HOUSE is not only a favorite drink and eat spot, but the hotel is perfection. It has beautiful rooms where every detail is thought of.
COFEE & TEA
I have to venture off island for my fave coffee shop, VINTAGE COFEE CAFE. I have coffee here once a week at least and the staff is so incredibly kind. I also love their acai bowl and cheesy eggs, depending on my mood.
SHOP
GOLDBUG is a precious little shop for gifts or a great sun hat or dress.
BENNIE & COCO is a dress shop that also carries comfy items from aviator nation.
New to the island is MAKERS POST SI. They have the best cards, plants and gifts.
I am so happy to have such great little shopping options on our little island.
GO-TO JP STAPLES
I am never not wearing my JP NAME RINGS, JP KNIFE EDGE BAND, JP ROUNDED CUFF + JP TINY DIAMOND STUDS, JP TWIG STUDS, JP PLATE STUDS.
With these every day pieces, I love to add some zingers. I am not a big earring person, but I do love the dangle of the JP BAR WITH HALF MOON DIAMOND EARRINGS to give some interest to my stack. The JP EMERALD CUT EMERALD STUDS and JP DIAMOND DISC STUDS have become my go-to statement studs.
