Jane Pope Cooper is the designer and creative director behind Jane Pope Jewelry. In 2001, Jane launched her first collection of vintage statement jewelry, BALBOA. The line signed immediately by Barneys New York and was featured in Elle and Glamour magazines. In 2004, Marie Claire magazine named Jane as one of the “10 Best Stylemakers to Watch.”
After graduating with a fine jewelry design degree from the Gemological Institute of America in Los Angeles, Jane lived in New York and studied fabrication, including wax carving, casting and stone setting. She launched her second line, Jane Pope Jewelry, in 2007, a collection informed by her growing interest in fine jewelry and her love for working with fine metals and stones. Jane Pope Jewelry incorporates imperfect and organic lines, and it quickly became known for its uniquely imperfect style.
Jane has been featured in Vogue, Refinery 29 and Matchbook Magazine. Vogue, Refinery 29, Matchbook Magazine and The Today Show have featured Jane’s designs. JPJ has been spotted on the red carpet at the Emmy’s and is a favorite of chic celebrities, including Natalie Portman, Sienna Miller, Drew Barrymore, Perrey Reeves and Whitney Port. Today, Jane splits time between her sun-drenched studio and showroom in downtown Spartanburg, SC, and her family’s beach cottage on Sullivan’s Island. Jane and her husband, Tyler, their two children, Wade and Pope, and beloved dog, Billy.
